Hi there. I'm Andrea.
I'm a UI/UX designer based in New York City. I have over 15 years of experience creating user-centered design for several industries including Consumer Electronics, Broadcast Media, IT, and Financial Services. My work ranges from creating visual design systems, to branding and identity creation for small start-ups, to front-end web development. Throughout my career I have worked with a diverse array of companies and also ran my own freelance design agency, 4 Corners Media, for 5 years.
Prior to my design career, I attended the University of Rochester where I focused on fine art and psychology, earning a BA in Studio Art. I continued my education at Rochester Institute of Technology - School of Art and Design, where I received an MFA in graphic design.
As somewhat of a design generalist, I believe in using my broader perspective to approach each design challenge with confidence and flexibility. I enjoy the process of designing products that balance meeting user needs with achieving business goals. I would consider a project a success if it is intuitive, effective, and pleasing to look at.
Outside of work
You may find me on a hike with my dog, jogging, on the elliptical, or attempting some other form of workout.
